Hi l was wondering if selling items to people who will be selling the item on ebay and other sites is a big risk for me?

ie: selling to an obvious bot farmer

There is no bot in the world that can speak with you, negotiate a price, enter that amount in the trade window, verify that what you put in trade is what he negotiated, and then click accept trade.

You may be selling to an obvious farmer, but a bot program is not capable of performing all those functions (especially negotiating and verification) in a trade.

I sell to whoever will pay my asking price. If they happen to have a name/pattern that is suspicious, who am I to judge? Anet tells me on this and every forum that they are handling the actual bots, so I can only assume anyone in the game trading with me passes the Anet tests.

And I thought "Bot Farmer #1138" just was a quiet person.... Seriously though, Ive heard(if I remember right, theres a post on forums somewhere)
where they say they ban not just the bot, but whoever sold a particular item to the bot, AND whoever bought that item(getting all involved). Bots arent my thing, so IDK too much about them.

If you knowingly or repeatedly sell items to someone who then goes onto sell them for real world money you are risking a ban, there have been plenty of people who've experienced this already and from the looks of some of the mails that have been posted it looks like they have a form mail just for that purpose.

that being the key word in this sentence, no, I doubt Anet can do anything to you or your account, because after all, we all know what an obvious bot farmer is, however what is "obvious" to some many not be obvious to others. If you sell a one off item, fine. Sell repeatedly, I think Anet might have a little quiet conference with the ban button and your account.
